So I've gotten the privilage to come to aquire one of these wonder kitchen combinations, sink-stove-fridge/freezer all in one. From what I know it was possibly manufactured in 1952 by General Air Conditioning Corp. Model # LK-115-2E-520. It's complete with an electric 2 burner stove top, sink, 3 rack refrigerator, compartment freezer, a pull-out cutting board, metal dish strainer (stovetop cover), and even a bottom drawer for storage. All in less than a 36" x 36" area. The one I have is in great shape too, minimum rust, burners work, fridge and freezer work real good and the compressor is probably as quiet, if not more quiet, than modern refrigerators. It's really the bees knees, if I do say so myself. I have been considering selling this appliance but I also really love it and would enjoy keeping it for myself. But I'm not entirely attached to it yet so it could go either way at this point.

Thing is, I have not been having the best luck at all finding much of anything about this vintage kitchenette anywhere on the internet. I mean, I guess that gives me a good sense towards the rarity of these kitchen combinations, yet I am still so eager for some knowledge on this thing.

So does anybody have any information, history, anything on these vintage L-K Kitchen Combinations??! I would love to get some input!
What do you think? :)

I don’t know anything about this particular brand of kitchen combination, but the first place I ever rented on my own had a combination kitchen similar to this one, only it was probably a 1969-70 vintage. It was in a VERY small cottage I rented in Petaluma, Calif. in 1970, for $65.00 a month, furnished, utilities included.

The combination kitchen unit was brand new, the owner had just recently remodeled the cottage to rent it. The door on the fridge was imitation wood grain and the electric burner top and sink were stainless steel. The inside of the fridge looked very much like the one you own, only newer of course. I lived in this little cottage for a year. I bought a portable counter top electric oven at Western Auto, so I had a complete kitchen, so to speak.

These little combo units were great for a small cottage or studio apt. It really filled all the needs of a 19 year old on his own for the first time.

General Air

In the early 1960's, we had a "General Air" window air conditioner.
I've never been able to find out anything about it or the company until this post.
I didn't know they made other appliances other than air conditioners.
