I had the same gas dryer. Automatic Fabric Master worked just like it should. I ended up giving it to my ex-brother-in-law after moving and buying my Maytags 35 years ago that I still use because there was no gas, just electric for a dryer.

I have that model in electric and if my memory serves me correctly mine is a 1974.
