Just wondering how many members collect and/or use EAPC.  We have several pieces of the Star of David pattern from Anchor Hocking that we've collected over the years from various sources.  In fact, today I acquired the candy dish for $6.00 at an estate sale.  It still had chocolate crumbs in it. :-)  We also have the 13.5 inch rimmed plate that works great when I make electric skillet pineapple upside-down cake.

Tim!

Wow. You are a mind reader. I've a fledgling collection of EA, consisting of the water pitcher, two relish dishes, 3 of those glass platters, a candy dish, and the sugar and creamer. I'm on the hunt for tumblers, but they are scarce compared to juice glasses.

Do they turn up in your thrift haunts? That's how I got started...

Yes Gary, my mistake for not wording my earlier post more clearly.  I meant to write pressed glass.  Feel free to post any pics as well.

As far as where we've found our Star of David pieces, we've found the majority at estate/tag sales.  My wife did find a large bowl (poss. punch bowl) at a local thrift store about 2 weeks ago for $4.00.  At the same store they had a smaller bowl marked $10.00.  We didn't understand their logic but weren't going to quibble about the cheaper price on the bigger bowl.

My wife acquired our first piece (large platter) in the late 60's when her boss's mother was downsizing and moving into an apartment.  After we got married in 1998 we started buying more as we've found them.  All pieces have been bought for under $10.00.  We've got 2 large platters, 1 smaller platter, 2 relish dishes, candy dish, 1 large bowl (poss. punch bowl), 2 smaller bowls, and creamer & sugar bowl.  We'd love to find the tumblers and matching pitcher.  But, they're scarcer than hens teeth!

I have...

...the creamer and sugar - and had completely forgotten that I have them, until I read this post! I found mine at the local Goodwill for 49 cents each, a couple of years ago. I'm going to have to keep an eye open for the pattern in my travels.

I remember that my mother had the vase - they seemed to be ubiquitous back in the 1960s and 1970s. I don't know what happened to that vase, and don't recall seeing it when I prepared my parents' estate sale six years ago.

Thanks for bringing a pattern to mind that I haven't thought about in ages.

Joe

My Mom received the large vase as a wedding gift in 1967.  I'll have to make sure and grab it when the time comes.

As for the Moon & Stars pattern, it depends on the color, type of item, and age.  I would say that overall it's valuable, but there is a big difference between monetary value and sentimental value.  There is quite a bit for sale on Ebay.

I love Depression Glass.
I found two unused boxed sets of Anchor Hocking Green Sandwich Plates at an estate sale this past winter.
I love anything vintage glass.
