This was WPs first stacked W-D, this was introduced in 1983 this had the compact washer belt drive mechanism till 1986 when WP switched over to the DD design and continued building this machine virtually unchanged into 2017.
This one for sale would be a fun and very good machine for an appliance collector, it does have the more difficult to repair BD drive washer but the nice 860 RPM spin, we have this exact machine in our museum.

KitchenAid had a sibling (DD) in the early KA laundry years. They're probably considerably rarer than the WP model(s).
