It is *so* nice seeing these machines and reading about them.
Thanks for all the info, guys.
The controls, if you’ll excuse the pun, instantly ‘click’ with me, as I remember seeing many a Hotpoint like these in the 1980s at neighbours’ and friends’ homes.

Well, those and a sprinkling of Zanussis and a Hoover Logic.
(Hello, Mike, BTW!

My Kirby G4 sits in the cloakroom, where it lives with the coats, shoes and the Henry! LOL

The Kirby was tasked with cleaning my late aunt’s fully carpeted Victorian cottage before being put on the housing market.)
Anyway, back to washers…
Maintenance wash for mine later today!
I am not sure if I should admit this, but I sometimes think I have about four spare washing machines – a 1980s Hotpoint, a TOL 1990s one, a TOL Hoover New Wave and an early 1990s Zanussi Jetsystem, like my late grandmother’s.
There’s only one problem: I am asleep and dreaming at the time.
It’s happened more than one, too! It’s not fair! Grrr! LOL
*Carl wishes he had room for more than just his Miele daily driver*
