Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

guys calm down!!!

I don't know what is going on that's causing this whole argument. We were just talking about whether someone here bought the Zanussi and all of a sudden it becomes a super rant. Don't know where the sour grapes is coming from, I just thought that someone here bought the dryer and if there were going to be some further info and perhaps extra shots of the machine. Nothing to get heated up over!

Anyway I know its June but here's another obsencely priced dryer though its a nice Hotpoint with reversomatic, creasecare and a time delay.

I don't know either....

Im not sure what's going on either. I replied to you and off he (Rob) went, then it all went from there as I don't agree with what he wrote.

Not sure whether he's bought the Zanussi or what. Dunno why as i thought Hotpoint was the in-thing, but im guessing that's what its all about. But in that case he shouldve just said 'oh i got that' and we'd have dealt with it like normal 26 year olds.

If he wants to play a different game then he can carry on. Im sure people are intelligent enough to reach their own conclusions.

Hi guys, Just wanted to clear afew things up, I won the the Zanussi dryer. I put a max bid of £36.00 which is what I was willing to pay for it. As I always do I put my maximum bid on at the start because I am usually out when the auction ends plus I would rather put my max bid on and leave it run it's course than keep having to check on the item I'm bidding for. As for putting pictures on I will when I have time which more than likely will be the weekend. I am by no means being suspect but just don't usually have the time during the week to add pics, creat threads. Hope this clears things up. Many thanks Rich

Cheers Rich

I was having a crap week when i wrote things further up the thread (lost my job a little while back & this was causing problems) so my response was rather different to usual. This all then got abit out of hand & what youve no doubt seen resulted.

Me & Rob have sorted it out as Rob said, so don't think anything of it.

Glad the dryer went to someone who will look after it. It went through my head that it couldve gone to a second hand shop to be polished up abit and flogged on for a profit or something like that, so i'm quite relieved.

Look forward to seeing pics etc soon.

Liam

Hello guys

I'm also looking forward to the pics of the zanussi :)

Rob and Liam, i'm glad its past the stuff above which i dont want to mention because i can't stand arguments etc. I get upset myself if such things happen, i was the guy wanting to bid on the newwave, but i agree with Rob as he said the person willing to pay the most wins, i was not hurt or offended when that happened, i also remember saying good luck or congrats when he won it because i wanted to see pics/videos etc.

One day hopefully i'll have a new wave too
never wanted anything to be taken the wrong way, as i always read through what ive typed so that it doesnt hurt or offend anyone...

Thanks guys tc :)

...

Well I'm happy that everything is resolved between Liam and Rob. And I'm glad that Rich got the dryer, so it's definately going to a great home.

Hi liam, sorry to hear about your job, that really sucks. Hope you get another one soon. Mike has some pics of the dryer which I think he is going to put on and I will try and get some more done this weekend. Your not to far from me so if you ever want to pop down and have a play with it as well as the few other Zanussi's I have you are more than welcome.

Rich

Thanks :)

Thanks Rich. Yeah the job situation isn't great. Have been put on 2 waiting lists for different vacancies & got offered a 3rd, but that's now been more or less cancelled due to Government spending cuts, so my mood lately hasn't been as bright as it ought to be unfortunately.

Sounds like a potential plan on seeing the Zanussis :) As youve probably read, im quite a fan of the brand, though not quite as convinced about their latest offerings as those of the past!

Which other models do you have currently? Im at a loss as to which washer went alongside the TE350, as i can't think of an electronic washer from that era, just the earlier Computawash & later Directa.

Liam.

Quality machines

I have just come back from the mother in laws where I have disconnected her washing machine which is being replaced. Had not reaelly taken any notice of it before but it turns out it was a Zanussi ZF1020 (???) Looks just like the one at the top of this thread but only 1 dial. She had the instruction book and inside was stapled the receipt. She bought it in December 1988 and up until 2 weeks ago it was going fine. It has NEVER broken down in 22 years. Pretty impressive. The pump has finally packed up and so it has been retired. Next to it is an equally impressive Bosch dishwasher from 1991 that has been hammered over the years. This is a woman who frequently throws family parties for up to 60 people and garden parties for the Conservatives for 50+ We do all the catering and that poor machine keeps on running. I reckon it must have done about 4 times the normal domestic service and once again, it has NEVER needed repair.

The don't make things like that anymore!!!

Pump repair?

Why scrap it then Paul??

Pump repairs are so easy to do.... you can get pumps for around £5 on ebay and at least the machine will keep going for another few years Id hope.

Even if the other one is on order and paid for she surely has a right to cancel and get a refund etc etc.

Failing that what about repairing it and storing it for when the inevitable happens to the new one. Not to curse it though touch wood.

eBay June 2010

Made a new eBay thread!!!

why scrap it?

was not my decision and the new machine had been purchased before I was asked to move the old one. I have no interest in keeping it for myself as I have nowhere to put it, unfortunately.
