Zanussi Z929T

Hi Rob,
That looks like a Z929T. It's a true Zanussi (Pre Electrolux), 1000/400RPM spin speeds, dual circuit water heater, 3 water levels and to top it all off an Induction Motor which made them exceptionally quiet machines both washing and spinning. The Z918T was identical except for 800/400RPM spin speeds and a black door.

It's a real 80's classic someone should try to save it.

not au fait with my Zanussi's, but I am pretty sure that the machine for sale is the Z918T.

The Z929T was one of the machines with the detachable? or at any rate separate lower body panel.

The extent of my Zanussi Z-series is that the...

Z918T was a full front 800/400rpm machine, with one option button.
Z???T was a full front machine (rpm unknown - probably same as Z918T), with two option buttons - see left piccy(just can't make out the model number - could be Z919T).
Z929T was a split panel 1000/500rpm machine, with two option buttons.
Z939T was a split panel machine 1000/500rpm? machine, with three option buttons - see right piccy.

and

that's it!

Can anyone fill in any of the gaps - was there a computer/microchip controlled version in the series? Be really interested to know more about this series of machines. These were the ones that were on sale in Currys and Norweb, when I used to drag my grandma round said stores as a pre-school 'nipper'.

Cheers
Paul
p.s be great to see this matching (ignoring the door trim) pair preserved.

Zanussi Z918T

Hello Paul,
My mistake I do believe it is a Z918T and it was the Z929T had the black door. Also I'm thinking of Candy machines with 1000/400RPM spin speeds the Z929T was indeed 1000/500RPM. 1000RPM Zanussi models from that series used an Induction Motor with an integral gearbox and centrifugal clutch, the 800RPM models used a more basic three speed Induction Motor without gearbox or clutch. I don't recall any Computer controlled models in the black fascia series but there was a Computer controlled model in the grey fascia series that followed.
The Candy models with the 1000/400RPM spin speeds used a two speed Induction Motor with a variable pulley system.
It was such disappointment for me when I first heard an Electrolux Zanussi running, Electrolux introduced Universal Motors (Carbon Brush) to the Zanussi range making them much noisier less reliable machines.

There was two computer control models, i came across them while looking for my flats washing machine. They are: ZE1001iS and the ZE2002iS. I would love to have one of these machines! There is also a matching dishwasher the ZE1001iS.

I don't really know much about them all but i know they have black fascias. I have never came across a tumble dryer yet though. It seems strange that they wouldn't have one, i guess they haven't put the manual up online yet.

I'll post a link to the ZE2002iS machine.

Cheers for posting that link David.

Never ever new such a machine existed - semi integrated too.

Does anyone know more of this machine and, even better, possess a piccy of the machine (the only problem with black facias is they don't show up well in black and white pdf files!).

Paul
(should have started a Zanussi thread!)
