I was at Costco yesterday, and a demonstrator told me about Eco's Laundry detergent. Has a very light scent, is all natural, and is HE compatible along with top loaders. Has anyone tried it yet? Im really interested in trying it out.

I had pretty good results with it. Results were even better when dosed with some STTP.

I do get better results with Costco's Kirkland brand of environmentally friendly detergent. Actually, Kirklands brand scored very well in Consumer Reports detergent test. It's designed for front loader use only, but I just double the dose for my top loaders.

My experience with Ecos

(no apostrophe,) is that it was better on light to moderate soils than heavy. Might be better in softer water. My city's water is between hard and soft.

Ecos update

I got a jug of Ecos last night from costco, and have used it twice so far, and I am impressed with the results I got. Cleans and rinses very well, and leave a light scent which is very pleasant. Thou, I did up the dosage a touch, for a full load, I used line 2, that is for top loaders, and will use the line 1 for small loads only. Im very happy with it so far.
If anyone else has some feedback, I'd like to hear about it.

Bought a jug of Ecos at Fresh & Easy then noticed on my next trip that F&E has their own HE detergent. When the Ecos ran out, I bought the F&E and it looks like we're sticking with it.

The Fresh & Easy got out some stains on one try that the Ecos left behind when pitted against the same kind of stain. I think the difference is the enzymes (missing from Ecos).

I bought Ecos a while back, our local health food store stocks it. It cleaned really well but brought me out in a really bad rash, must have been what ever it was perfumed with.

I tried the Eco detergent when I saw a demonstration at my local Costco. I liked the fact that it didn't have dyes and or a heavy scent. I was happy with the cleaning job it did overall. However, I've switched to Costco's powdered detergent that they sell in the pail - I think it also does a good job and is a very good value. I use a top loader (Whilpool Imperial)
