Electric dryers to Gas

Short answer: No with a maybe,
Long answer: Yes with a but.
It depends on the dryer. You would remove the electric heating elements and replace them with the appropriate gas burner. You would have to change the cord and plug from the 220 volt style to the 110 volt style. You would have to ensure the gas is ignited. You may even have to change a panel on the cabinet so you could get the gas access door.

I would imagine the type with the heating elements in a duct are easier to convert than the type with the heating coils beind (or in front of) the drum: a la GE, Frigidaire and Maytag Halo-of-Heat.
Of course if you don't have 220v and are simply "playing" (it's not your daily driver) why not use the 220v dryer on 110v?

Snowball, I have never given this much thought but I'm sure it would be easy enough on maybe a Kenmore. I sometimes convert GE and Kenmore over to electric from gas. Easy enough. I would have to draw you up a schematic of this but it's easy as pie to do. I would suggest NEW combustion related parts for this changeover unless you are a daredevil.
