You're wrong when saying Cxxx and Pxxx are different projects.
Pxxx series is the evolution of Cxxx series. (in some countries they were sold at same time, but the Cxxx is much older than Pxxx.)
I know these washers like the palm of my hand since i was directly involved in it's project. I had to study part after part, inch after inch, program after program to develop the brazilian projects.
Pxxx was the biggest Cxxx update and the brazilian models are nothing more than Pxxx with a plastic surgery, facial peeling and a new hair style. so, technically, it's the same model with a lot of updates and upgrades.
this project was so well made that is very difficult to retire it. electrolux Brazil will produce them for at least 10 years more because argentinians simply love the EW series.
When my team created Insight, we had to get some inspiration on those previous models, but never make it as a copy with some cosmetic changes, it was mandatory.
By the way, all electrolux's creators and designers are not allowed to reuse the black hatch, not only because it's out of fashion, but to demonstrate respect to the best washer Electrolux ever had in more than 100 years.

Gotta Love those opaque door model electrolux machines, my neighbour has one still, she bought it in May 1988, and its a turbo washer dryer. Is quiet as a whistle when its washing and spinning.
My best friend has this Electrolux EW900 from 1993 (pictured below), it has a 900rpm spin, i think this was one of the new generation Electrolux machines, which were based on the Zanussi Nexus construction, its a fantastic machine, makes that great humming sound when its washing, i think they had a jetsystem model too but it was called Aquaspray wash system

There's a very small european E-lux washer that I don't remember the name , but I would die for it. I just remember I saw it's drawings but I've never seen it made. I remember the dial was huge if compared to the rest of the washer.
does anyone knows this model? In what countries they were sold?

P6000 machines had Carboran outertub, C7000 and C8000 had stainless steel outertub. Every machine is a evolution of something before, but it's wrong to say the Opaqe door machines is the same as P6000 series!!! And P series had splitted cabinet, not a backpanel you find on the C series. If the machines had the same drum, tub, and steering system, it could be called the same machine, with cosmetic change, but it's not so with P and C series.
The small machine you are talking about, is the EW1170C I think. I have one! It's made in Sweden.

The P6000 are a completely different construction. The split cabinet design was entirely new, the nexus carboran tub was entirely new. The programming on P6000 machines is different to the C**** machines.
In the UK Electrolux always marketed the P6000 machines as an entirely new design, I could probably quote it from somewhere if I had to.
The C7000 C8000 are Zanussi Industry designs from a period before Electrolux was involved.
I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.

woooah the last time i looked there was 6 replies to this thread!!!! Thanks for your input guys! I haven't seen many of these on ebay lately, though i always keep a keen eye out for one, i should imagine the people who have them dont want to let them go! My brothers best friend had the matching washer & dryer! He invited me round to see it when i was small and i really wanted one! lol.

That Brazilian LE 750 from the video, is that a gentle cycle ?
I guess the waterlevel ist just too high for a normal cycle`s main wash, or was it dumbed down to only one high level?
Interesting to see that 60°C ist the hottest setting and there is no pre wash. Is it hot and cold fill, because of a 110 V heating element ?

You should have a look at the reconditioned electrical shops, they do second hand washers, we have a few in Nottingham, though they sell mostly old hotpoints, hoover ecologics and Bosches but you do get the rare electrolux machine in there, last time i
looked I found a Zanussi Computawash!
But yeah check Ebay!!!

Sounds good we have about 10 second hand appliance shops in notts in Nottingham, we did have one in carlton called the washer workshop but that sadly is closed down now, thats where we bought our second hand hoover electronic 1100 washer from in 1992
I remember our 1979 Creda Debonair washer very well my mum had it from 1988-1990

From looking at some of these manuals, i didn't realise they only did 2 rinses on synethetics!!! My zanussi's do 4 rinses for cottons & 3 for synethetics & wool.
The elux's did 3 for cottons, 2 for synthetics & 3 for delicates and wool!

If that Opaque Plus should have been produced, I would used the 54 l. drum Elux used i in many Washer Dryers before, ex. WH4675T on 5.5kg. It should have the Direct Spray (Jetsystem), 1400rpm, frequence regulated motor(brushless), spin wash function, sani promgramme on 98* and many more features.

Last time i went i saw a Zanussi Jetsystem Turbodry washer dryer and they were selling it for £185 but that was because everything had been reconditioned in it, but you can probably barter and get a bargain machine for about £50-100 quid

That´s the normal level. brazilians asked for it, so it´s the only option. The previous version (different lot only) of the exactly same model had this level for gentle cycle and a lower level for regular cycle.
The last update on that model was a space reduction between the tank and the drum. it´s precision is fantastic! only a 20mm space and the drum NEVER reach the tank during the spin
The water level is high, but there is less water than you think.
it´s cold fill only since more than 90% of the houses in Brazil don´t have hot water pipes because of our really hot weather.
the heater can heat the water easily to 60°C and it also has a 30°C pre wash.

The EW1170C is a beautiful little washer, and is pretty silent. I bought it from a guy very cheap, and got it home, and realized that the pump was bad, and the watervalve was frosen to peieces, so I got back half the money! It is still a son of this machine, EWC1350. Still a Swedish made machine. I remeber I saw the EW1170C when I was ca 6 years old, on "Elkjøp", Norways biggest appliance store. I really wanted it so much, but it was very expencive. I got a brochure, and I still have it

I forgot to mention, i have 2 offical zanussi and electrolux parts information catalogue detailing every part of every machine, with diagrams, i've just been looking through all the opaque models I got these from my old boss at my last job, aswell as all the service information for a hotpoint liberator toploader and a hotpoint spinslider 95series machine!
Also on a side note, the zanussi jetsystem washer/dryer WDJ1013 operates the same as the Opaque electroluxes in that the temperature dial is also the power switch!!!!

That high water level is certainly very helpful to improve cleaning with "Agua fria" and doesn`t hurt as long as one sticks to cold. Unthinkable here in Germany, considering my laundry habits and power rates.
