Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That Brazilian LE 750 from the video, is that a gentle cycle ?
I guess the waterlevel ist just too high for a normal cycle`s main wash, or was it dumbed down to only one high level?
Interesting to see that 60°C ist the hottest setting and there is no pre wash. Is it hot and cold fill, because of a 110 V heating element ?
Thanks I am curious

You should have a look at the reconditioned electrical shops, they do second hand washers, we have a few in Nottingham, though they sell mostly old hotpoints, hoover ecologics and Bosches but you do get the rare electrolux machine in there, last time i
looked I found a Zanussi Computawash!

But yeah check Ebay!!!

wow

that looks awesome timon90, you know your electrolux does it have numbers for programmes or letters? as the woman i know who has a turbo washer dryer and it has letters on the dial?

That design reminds me of a zanussi computawash from 1988

Btw i wish they would go back to the bog standard 4.5kg drum they look better :)

Oh wow timon! Give me a WH 2008 anyday! I would love them to make them again! Or their be a surge on them on ebay:D

I've been using my zanussis for the past two weeks, i've made my hotpoint redundant. i'm tryin to use it as little as possible b4 selling it:D

Kyle! I would love to go scoutin round the recon shops in notts. You should give me the tour sometime! I just don't feel keen on driving round notts! lol.

I did see the dryer on ebay and nearly died of shock thinking it was a washer lol damn those 2 dials! lol.

I have to agree they were the best machines electrolux ever made.

Heres another pic from the collection!:D

Sounds good we have about 10 second hand appliance shops in notts in Nottingham, we did have one in carlton called the washer workshop but that sadly is closed down now, thats where we bought our second hand hoover electronic 1100 washer from in 1992 :(

I remember our 1979 Creda Debonair washer very well my mum had it from 1988-1990

From looking at some of these manuals, i didn't realise they only did 2 rinses on synethetics!!! My zanussi's do 4 rinses for cottons & 3 for synethetics & wool.

The elux's did 3 for cottons, 2 for synthetics & 3 for delicates and wool!

Kyle: Do you go to them often? What sort of prices do things tend to go for?

Darren

If that Opaque Plus should have been produced, I would used the 54 l. drum Elux used i in many Washer Dryers before, ex. WH4675T on 5.5kg. It should have the Direct Spray (Jetsystem), 1400rpm, frequence regulated motor(brushless), spin wash function, sani promgramme on 98* and many more features.

Well

Last time i went i saw a Zanussi Jetsystem Turbodry washer dryer and they were selling it for £185 but that was because everything had been reconditioned in it, but you can probably barter and get a bargain machine for about £50-100 quid :)

Timon: You should sent this in a letter to elux and say that us washer lovers want this machine lol!! I would certainly buy it!

Kyle: Thanks for the info. i may have to make a trip if i dont find anything before.

The Electrolux WH2900 does 4 rinses on cottons (5 with the 'N' button pushed). 3 on gentle and 4 with the N button

Hey

Does anyone remember the electrolux washer that automatically dispensed liquid detergent to the wash?, it was in 1992/1993 i think and it also had a wash progress pointer as well

I remember from when I was about 4 years, my "babysitter" had a WH2900 on her bathroom. She had this machine to ca 2001 or so.

Mr. Boilwash
That´s the normal level. brazilians asked for it, so it´s the only option. The previous version (different lot only) of the exactly same model had this level for gentle cycle and a lower level for regular cycle.

The last update on that model was a space reduction between the tank and the drum. it´s precision is fantastic! only a 20mm space and the drum NEVER reach the tank during the spin

The water level is high, but there is less water than you think.
it´s cold fill only since more than 90% of the houses in Brazil don´t have hot water pipes because of our really hot weather.
the heater can heat the water easily to 60°C and it also has a 30°C pre wash.

I have this washer at home too, so if you want to see it running, please feel free to add me to MSN [email protected] or Skype thomasortega

The EW1170C is a beautiful little washer, and is pretty silent. I bought it from a guy very cheap, and got it home, and realized that the pump was bad, and the watervalve was frosen to peieces, so I got back half the money! It is still a son of this machine, EWC1350. Still a Swedish made machine. I remeber I saw the EW1170C when I was ca 6 years old, on "Elkjøp", Norways biggest appliance store. I really wanted it so much, but it was very expencive. I got a brochure, and I still have it:)

I forgot to mention, i have 2 offical zanussi and electrolux parts information catalogue detailing every part of every machine, with diagrams, i've just been looking through all the opaque models:D I got these from my old boss at my last job, aswell as all the service information for a hotpoint liberator toploader and a hotpoint spinslider 95series machine!:D

Also on a side note, the zanussi jetsystem washer/dryer WDJ1013 operates the same as the Opaque electroluxes in that the temperature dial is also the power switch!!!!

question for those who know, Did the jetysystem electroluxes spin in the wash on synthetics or just cotton?

Aw those baby electrolux machines are cute! lol.

I've just been through an old 1993 catalogue with the redesigned electrolux machines in, the model in it is a EW1200ACL which is 5kg 1200 also with door release. This is a range i know very little about unfortunately!

Does anyone know much about this range too?

That high water level is certainly very helpful to improve cleaning with "Agua fria" and doesn`t hurt as long as one sticks to cold. Unthinkable here in Germany, considering my laundry habits and power rates.
