Electrolux Opaque door models.

Hey guys,
I absalutely love electrolux group machines, i think they've always made brill machines. hence i have 2 older zanussi's my next daily driver in my kitchen once i'm rid of the hotpoint will be a zanussi and have been on a quest for an opaque doored electrolux for sometime.

My question is, does anybody have a brochure which featured these machines? I have many pictures i've collected from the internet of them and a manual, but i've never seen an electrolux brochure with the features or anything.

If anybody has any info, pics or thoughts on these machines this would be the place to share them

I've seen a few videos on youtube too.

I absolutaly love those machines my nanny had one of the it was a navy one with two dials and one half load button it was brilliant she had it for 12 years and then gave it to my stepmun's mam. it was fifteen years old when sadly it finally packed in. my nanny had a few problems with it tho during its life, like when she first got it she told me that when she first turned it on she didn't know about the transit brackets and they were left in and she sai she got the fright of her life when she walked in and seen it dancing around the kitchen ha ha. here's a pic of the same machine my nanny had.

I have a set with washer and dryer with black door My aunt have them in her saloon, to wash towels in. Hav had a few repairs on it. Replaced recirculation pump, drainpump, bearings, and the motor electronic card. It actually still have the original brushes!!!
The dryer got a new belt some years ago, and is still going strong. I'll try to take a picture of them soon

Timon, i love the videos you put on youtube, i saw them on a previous thread about these machines, i'd love to see more in better lighting!

Did these spin in the wash?

And is it my imagination, or did they come in brown panels aswell. i'm certain i saw a brown panel one in the coop when i was about 5.

The very first ones had beige panel.
Yes, it spins when it is half loaded. Here in Norway, the sold most of the WH2900, and WH2800 model. And WH3000T W/D.

These washers has been upgraded and sold in Brazil until 2 years ago as (timeline) Prosdocimo Smile, Electrolux-Prosdocimo FL500, Electrolux FL750, Electrolux LE05, Electrolux LE1000 and LE750.
They still in production here in Brazil at Electrolux Curitiba-Guabirotuba Plant, but only exported to Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

It was the best washer ever made by Electrolux. The original project is more than 40 years old and most updates were only related to it´s external design. By the way, i was part of it´s last update project.

There are some videos on Youtube and later I´ll post some photos.

You cant say that this machine is the same machine! It's two complete different machines!

The Electrolux'es with black door, is from the C7000 and C8000 platform. The washer in the video is (I think) a P6000 series machine!

You are quite right Timon, the old Electroluxes were from the C7000 and C8000 series, and very solidly built.

The video shows a P6000 based machine, with the design dating back to about 1990. The drum is the give away. Anything with plastic drum paddles is P6000 or later.

Ariston4life, your nanny's Electrolux sounds like it's a WH818.

Hi Darren!
As you know, I love these machines too. If you want a model that spins in the wash, there are 2 opaque door models to look out for. One is the TOL WH2125 Jetsystem, the second is the WD3000T Jetsystem Turbodry.

The WH818 was the only model to have an induction motor, the rest were fitted with brush motors.

I did have the brochure years ago, sadly I don't have it anymore. The Serviceforce website is an excellent resource on the WH series machines, with all the instruction manuals listed. http://www.serviceforce.co.uk/pdf_search.asp

On the website, choose 'I don't know the PNC number', then 'I don't know the model name'. When it asks about the make, choose 'EDA' and click next. All the WH 'opaque door' models are towards the bottom of the list of manuals.

Anyone here who have a pic of the WH2125 Jet? I think, here in Norway, the WH2900 was the TOL model. It also came with a outedoor(hinged on the side sadly, not downwards), and that was the WH2910

WH823/824

On the WH823 the left hand dial was a temperature dial.
On the WH824 the left hand dial was a delay start dial.

The three buttons are Half load, Superwash and Door Release.
Spin speed: 850rpm.

Later version of WH823. Same controls.

This probably had an induction motor.

Temperature dial on left.

The two buttons are half load and variable spin (800/400rpm).
The button in between and underneath the dials is the door release.

Note the lack of the lower plinth covering the filter.

A more basic version of the WH838 above. The option button is half load.

Max spin: 800rpm.
