Electronic descalers/water softeners....

Hey Guys

Picked this up from one of our local Charity shops today for £5.00! its never been fitted. It works by passing an Electromagnetic charge through the pipe/water via a wire coiled round the pipe. This interferes with the molecular structure of the limescale and makes it "slippery" so it dosent stick. It also removes existing scale and allows you to use the soft water dosage of detergent etc

Hmmmmm if it was only that simple. I have me doubts

I have heard of a magnetised chain you can put in the dishwasher.
You wrap it around the racks and all the rust and iron stick to it.
I looked for it years ago.The last place I heard that sold it was a health food store. Never did find it.
