 Lawrence, this kind of competed with the GE GSD2800 as far as electronic features went.  Were epensive and had reliability issues I believe.

I figured it was a TOL version, just rather surprised that it's missing faux woodgrain.

 

And it is correct to assume this is a true KA?

This is the KDIS-21A "Imperial" version of the Superba Selectra, and is one model down from TOL. I imagine that it wasn't a big seller as it cost almost as much as the Superba.
