Thanks for the video. One of my favorite sounds of summer, walking down the street after midnight when all is quiet except for the hum of air conditioners.
We sold tons of those Emerson a/c's at the Woolco store I worked at in the early 70's. Just took one muggy evening and people would come in before store closing at 10pm and walk out with one of the many stacked in the center aisle. And they weren't that cheap then like they are now.

wonderfull rare find
I had a 8000 btu EQK until the early 90's ,it always freezed us out of the bedroom ,you could leave a beverage on the nightstand and the ice would still be there in the morning,It was still working after the bottom rusted out,the compressor was falling out ,I think it was propped up with wood,It never died , I would love to find one of those NIB

I liked the Gibson models with the "AIR SWEEP" function....it had a little motor that would cause the direction fins to direct the air from left to right automatically, instead of the air blowing in one direction all the time, like an oscillating fan...........
IIRC, Friedrich or another is now offering a similar feature on their ACs. Cannot be sure but am almost certain saw/heard it on an advertisement.
