I hate the Downy Ball!

I agree with you, Glenn. It's too hard to fill and use. Besides, I prefer a second rinse, and don't want the softener coming out in the first rinse anywy.

BTW, which "flavor" of Suavitel do you use?

Yellow bottle, Morning Sun. I want to try them all, except Baby Powder Fresh -- I don't much like the scent of baby powder. Considering I wash an average of maybe 2.5 loads per week, it takes a while to use up the supplies.

If I use the double-deep rinse option on the IWL12 (which is the default with the Creasables option) there's no spin before the first rinse but there is a spin after it, so I could still use the ball and get softener in the 2nd fill. The first time I used the Comforter cycle, I loaded up the dispenser and then found it does two deep rinses but ONLY a final spin. That was irritating! I didn't lose the softener, though. I was watching, and dumped it in during the 2nd fill.
