Father puts child inside FL washer

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

To Robert

Do those even exist? I cant say I have ever seen or heard of them, and I have been to many laundromats before.

Idiots!
I hope this child is taken from them for awhile to "Scare Them".
Good Point Robert! Seems like there would be a huge Red Button that you could "mash" to stop and unlock.

Commercial washers don't "start themselves". SOMEbody put money in it to make it run. Cops and social services will be following up on this but media likely won't.

Did the child survive?

I ask because not only would it be very badly bruised etc but I am sure there is water in there too maybe its the angle of the cam? Also the fact the Mom seems to be pretty mad.

But there are not many laundromat machines with stop buttons they seem to be on the ones in private use.

How stupid!!!It takes the act of putting the kid in the machine-and inserting coins in it to start it.Is this some sort of punishment?I think DAD should go on a trash truck tour!Put him in the Leach and pull the lever!I just don't get why ?? the child was walking in front of the machine-and Dad just puts him in it!

I don't understand how this passes code, but it does

This is not the first time,  last one of these the news covered a "good samaritan", worked on the electrical supply with a fire axe. Robert is right, these huge machines are dangerous, and inviting to small children, whether their dad's are idiots or not. alr

Yes,why aren't these machines equipped with an E-stop button?Hit the button drum motion stops right away-and door unlocks. The laundry attendent shouldn't had to bulldoze the tables away to get to the back of the machine. At how safety minded politicians and others are-think the EStop would be required on commercial patron operated machines.

I cross posted this into "As the tub turns" without checking to see if this post was already made.

Sorry Robert.

The first time I watched this, I was like, "Why would you do that? What were you thinking?"

At least the laundromat attendant was able to do something quick about it.

My guess, the only reason why Emergency Stop buttons don't exist on commercial front loaders is because people could abuse it and get free clothing. (Then again, there's always people stealing clothing out of dryers too....)

Better to have the option of a REPO (Remote Emergency Power Off) button which is activated by two terminals located on the rear of the machine, if they are shorted, the machine stops and unlocks immediately. These could be wired back to a control panel or something behind a pane of glass. Smash the glass and push the right button.

Either that or the control panel could be controlled by a laundry attendant.

Just my thoughts.. Kind of sad to see this happen.

Knowingly placing a child in mortal danger is a felony in this country.   Not sure what country this video is from but I would bet this act is a serious crime there as well.   This was an act of a deranged and monumentally stupid person upon a child.  As has been true throughout history; pity the poor children to whom for centuries all manner of pain has been inflicted.

yet another proof that front load washers are unsafe for kid

this is my only post in this thread and i would say that this is yet another proof that front load washers can be unsafe with kids i have 2 cats and i always makes sure when i do laundry that my cats is not near the washer or inside it same go for the dryer and that locking doors are not wise to put on machines.
