Favorite Agitator

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Thats what I meant to say for the Norge-The Burpilator!!!My Mom had one when I was a little kid-loved watching it!It was a BIG black Bakelite I suppose 4 blade Norge Burpilator-have been wanting one like that since. The agitator also had a silver colored metal lint pan.

My favorite is the old black original Kenmore Roto - Swirl. A great cleaning agitator all around.

I also kind of like the "Cone of Silence" Easy agitators (at least they remind me of the Cone of Silence from Get Smart - only with three cones!) I've got an old wringer machine with one of those.

Met very few I didn't like, but

...the other side of the coin to this interesting thread would be a choice for the worst agitator ever seen or used. I must admit I was appalled, appalled I tell you, when someone posted a picture of a vintage Hamilton washer from the sixties. Must have been engineered by Christie O'Donnell because nothing but witchcraft could get this uninspired piece of plastic to rollover anything:

Chris, you could've stopped at your first pic. Best agitator ever IMO, it's been downhill ever since.

My favorite non-Maytag agitator would be from the Easy automatics. It's performs like a ramped GE on some hardcore steroids!

On the left....

Several to pick from here. My absolute favorites are the Surgilator pictured in Reply # 3, and the Kenmore gold str8 vane in Reply 29.

Have a good one,
James

What to replace 1972 Lady Kenmore Agitator with??

Have a gorgeous matching 1972 piano key Lady Kenmore with stripped out vari flex. What can I replace with?? Willing to purchase any suggested part anyone has at great price. Help! Sincere thank you. [email protected]

You're all crazy!!! The best HAS to be a Kevinator with all the fins and holes in the agitator!!!! They are the MOST entertaining too!!!

Mine would be: the Easy Spiralator and the ones in my Maytag wringer machines. Both of those agitators throw some real mean water currents and lots of clean clothes. Happy washing, Gary
