Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have no pix,

but my favorite would be the GE filter-flo. The control panel is easy to figure out. I can quickly figure out what each set of buttons and dials do. For example, the upper button on the left is the normal speed which is my favorite. If I had a GE filter-flo, I'd leave it on that speed, unless I want to switch to gentle speed just for fun. I prefer to leave it on normal for fun and maximum splash drama especially from the ramped activator on small setting.

I have not before seen this GE dryer to best of recollection.  The top of the panel appears lighted but I'm guessing it's a reflection of overhead lighting or camera flash.  The General Electric / Compensated Control(?) panel at the bottom is lighted, yes?

Kenmore "Radio Dial"

Here's my 1972 Kenmore. Very unique as I'm fairly certain this style was done for one model year only.

I acquired this from Eugene at Lorraine Furniture, btw. He had posted videos of it and said it was in too poor condition for him to save, so I inquired about obtaining parts (specifically the console and it's Roto Flex agitator). Eugene graciously offered me the machine if I wanted it. Needless to say, that next weekend I was off on a road trip to pick it up.

Unfortunately, I've not gotten far on any kind of restoration, but have a few other machines of the similar era that I've got plenty of parts to hopefully get this beauty running like new.
