Yes, Robert, on both points.  I expected you may recognize it.

Fetching of these was pending for upwards of 11 years, needed to get done for reasons.  I was surprised and thrilled at what was still there, also a vintage KA mixer.[this post was last edited: 12/15/2024-09:34]

Yay, hopefully all is well with the Unimatic. I rebuilt the mechanism about 17-18 years ago. I put a NOS pulsator in it so that looks to still be in fine shape albeit it has yellowed from it's original gray (like they all do) but it should still work perfectly. When you get it hooked up let us know, be sure to pour some tap hot water down the drain hose to lubricate the pump shaft seal before you try it.

Those all look familiar but I can't remember where they came from.

Not sure the BOL Roper was worthy of that trip.

These were Westytoploader’s machines up until 13 years ago, the KitchenAid dryer, the BOL Roper, the Frigidaire Unimatic WO-65-2 are all on his channel.

Something brought to my attention recently is the deletion of YouTube accounts after 2 years of inactivity. I believe this went into effect as of May, 2023. Someone may want to download all of his video's for reposting later on.

It's a damn shame that a ton of content will disappear in the future as we die off or lose our accounts/passwords. History erased, again.

It may be possible, but I don’t know if it will ever come to fruition. If it does, will surly miss these closes, some of which feature my favorite tunes from the 60’s and 70’s.

To be fair sites don't have unlimited storage capacity. Memory costs money and at some point even places like YT are within their rights to clean up their servers if you will of unused or otherwise dormant accounts and content.

Yahoo, Microsoft and many others sites all have similar policies. Places do send out plenty of advance notice (usually via registered email) giving people heads up.

Sad thing is people create content but don't have a plan (internet will and testament if you want) for what should happen with their online presence after their demise.

For those hosting or otherwise having their own site sooner or later it will go if account isn't paid/renewed. This goes also for website address which needs paid renewal every one or few years.

If possible someone should really download and preserve contents of WestyTopLoader's channel. Lots of great stuff there and yes, it would a shame if allowed to simply vanish.
