Filter-Flo
I can tell you what I know. GE introduced Filter-Flo in the 1956 models and used that system until approximately 1990 or 1991 (others here will know the exact date), at which time they began to produce the current style/technology/product. The lid and top that is on this Ebay item was first used in 1961 when GE introduced their V-12 washers, and continued through the rest of Filter-Flo's life. The "core" part of this console was first used in the 1964 models and served as the basis for almost all remaining Filter-Flo consoles - with a variety of finishes, colors, switches, trim and even fluorescent lighting. The all-black with satin trim was one of the latest versions.
