I've been wanting one of these forever but never wanted to pay a big price for one. A few weeks ago I scoured all the flea markets etc around Metro Detroit and ran across a few older models in not so good shape at horrendously expensive prices and walked away. Today I found this one locally still a bit more than I wanted to pay but I couldn't resist, plus it came with 4 cups and it must have been used in a dairy bar because it has "property of Donlands Dairy" on the bottom.. I'm guessing Donlands was around Toronto somewhere. It's in really nice shape and purrs. Can't wait to try it out.

But my good fortune didn't begin there because prior to finding the HB mixer I found another white GE hand mixer WITH the (drumroll pleeze) hard to find knife sharpener attachment. I almost squeeled with delight

That malt mixer is so sweet. It's the one I remember from lunch counters at Woolworth's -- best malts ever! We preferred thinner malts and usually requested extra mixing time.

Now you had to go scare me :( LOL

I made a vanilla shake in it about an hour ago, delicious

Not sure how old this one is... it doesn't look that old but it's hard to tell.. it's dfinitely model 930

I will take a extra thick strawberry shake please. I have never seen a mixer with a knife sharpener attachment before, that's really cool.

Pete, that is a beauty!! Just be careful, they could become habit forming!!, not only the malts but the machines.
