Hi Paul,
I've got a W423 Miele which made its debut in 74 or 75 I think. It is a 900RPM/1100RPM machine, it spins at 900RPM for most of the spin and then at 1100RPM for the final increment on cottons.
It has a combined Induction/Brush motor, it uses the induction for wash which makes it whisper quiet and then the Brush motor for spin, which gives it its characteristic howl.
Were there any other 1100's prior to that?
I love those keymatic pics.
Cheers,
Nathan
