Rodrigo's got it 'goin on in Brazil!

Thanks for the wonderful and interesting photos! I'm with Glenn---#22 shot of that tricked out Brastemp/'Kenmo-Whirly Roto-Flex is awesome! Would make a great poster for the laundry room. A giant Vita-Mix! Love it!

Hey Rodrigo!
Great pictures!!!I especialy like the Roto-Flex agitator as well as the Magic-Mix see through lint filter brush!! Your bicycle is also real nice I have a Schwynn 21 speed Fronteer and a Trek 4000 21 speed mountain bike.I use the Trek to travel to and from work and going on long distance rides 25 miles or more.I use the Schwynn to go to the store and thrifting. It has the large rear baskets to hold bags and washer parts.

Oh good, we finally see some of the machines from other areas of the world. How interesting. Yes, did notice the speckled porcelian under the lid.

Thanks for sharing!

Robert I agree with your observation of Rodrigo's machines I too love the writing on all the controls like the Filtro Magix Mix filter thats just too cool!

Brastemp what a cool brand name!

Thanks for sharing Rodrigo and thanks for the dictionary for translation----what a big word for "Off" "Desligado" what does it mean in Brazillian "No=Des Power=Ligado"???

A big welcome to AW!! From me and Aloysius!!

Hi Louis and Jon

The white Brastemp washer has other model with water level and temp dials, like Brastemp turquoise, but is rare.

All mechanism is belt drive. The mechanism Brastemp & Westinghouse washers in Brazil are identical American Whirlpool & Westinghouse.

And Jon, Tide is Omo in Brazil. Is the best detergent.

Thanks

Rodrigo

It is my great dream to have my collection in the “Photo’s of Collection”.

Well its there now Rodrigo, and you certainly deserve it!! Your line up of vintage machines is so great! By the way in picture #11 you say "My Brastemp Washer 1965 (customized), with console 1978". So what did the 1965 control panel of the Brastemp look like?

Also where in your house are your machines, is this a garage or basement?

Hi Robert

Now I have TWO great conquest: Kenmore set and my collection in the Automaticwasher.org. Thank you very much.
My collection are in my basement. My Brastemp washer is “customized” because I’d like a vintage washer (lateral lid open) and a beautiful console (my favorite console). And I made it.
The Brastemp 1965 is approx. like this.

Hmmmm, that Frigidaire Dryer looks like a Whirlpool made dryer, the washer though looks its??? I can't tell.

Rodrigo could you translate the text in the Frigidaire ad for us?

1970 Frigidaire? What that be rollermatic or 1-18? The panel "looks" 1-18.

BUT these washers look like a WP set. What's up with that? No... they can't be WP machines. They're GM Frigidaires.

Those are definitely Whirlpools...look at the lid and even the front cabinet design on the washer. Rodrigo mentioned earlier that the inside was a Brastemp (Whirlpool) machine. Strange since they were called GM Frigidaire and not just Frigidaire. I guess for every part of the world, the design is different; for example the Australian Pulsamatics. I wonder if the Surgilator had a Frigidaire cap?

So now what should we call them, Frigipools or Whirlydaires? All I know is with that Rapidry 525, it certainly has the Pulsamatic beat as the slowest-spinning Frigidaire in existence! ;-)
