Well, I still have a lot of work left to do as far a painting goes in the kitchen, but at least I can say that I got uniformed turquoise walls finally! I think if you scroll through the pictures enough you'll be able to see the before and after stuff.

Oh, and you can check out my new Osterizer Galaxie Ten blender and my new whale planter!

Ok, need more data!

Trying to figure out the pictures.

Is the O and M the OLD oven you removed, or are you going to put it IN the kitchen and replace the newer one? Where does the Food A Rama go? (would love to hear more about that).

I love your items. Do you still live in the SD area? I graduated from San Dieguito in Encinitas. Surf High, and I think I was the only guy there that did not surf.

I love turquoise. We had a bathroom like that when I was a kid, and it was the same color as our 1966 Buick LeSabre, which I think was referred to as "aqua"!

:-)

Nice work! Your kitchen is almost the color of my bathroom.

I really like that fish with the bubbles!

Brneyed, is it me, or is that vent hood upside down?

veg

Thanks all!

I'm glad you liked the talking fish foraloysius! Flickr.com is pretty cool like that. You can do all sorts of neat things with your pics.

kevinpreston3, the O&M is going to replace the newer stove once I get more painting done, re-tile the floor and get the stove & Foodarama refurbished, oh and move the cabinets to accomodate a 36" stove. Right now there is only room for a 30" stove. Sigh... so much work. As for the Foodarama, it's going to go where my hutch is currently; that nice, big, empty wall. My husband is going install an outlet and run power to that wall dedicated for the Foodarama only. Where my fridge is currently is going to be converted into a pantry type storage area. I got that idea from a 1964 Popular Science magazine. I'll have to scan the pic and show you guys.

Oh, and I no longer live in San Diego unfortunately, but Phoenix has grown on me. I graduated from Point Loma High, and I attempted to learn to surf, but never fully got the hang of it! lol

Honestly guys, is there a better color than turquoise (aqua)?

Veg, funny enough, that vent hood above the stove goes like that. But I'm not complaining, it's pure white and cost $35 and it is quite!

There are few colors...

better than aqua. I know a guy with an AMC AMX in aqua. I have some aqua hot wheels. Aqua.

Sky blue has its place when used in the right way. Just the color of yellow is great....that lemon yellow, not pastel, not mustard. Board game yellow.

Of course, I am sitting in a room that was done in pink...with that sponge effect with off white and grey-blue. When we bought the place I said immediatly, that has got to go! But a day or two in here, the color "vibe" if you will, is so relaxing, I can't say when it will go!

Wow, you have done a lot and it sounds like you have much more to go. Keep up the good work, it's worth the time and effort. I think I've finally decided on cabinet plans for my own kitchen, now I just need to marry a carpenter! Your O&M range will be beautiful when you get it installed.

Very Cool

We certainly have similar tastes. I have that same tea pot but my is turquoise instead of red. I've never been able to date it properly. Of course, there's the Dominion. I have a starlight in a light blue/turquoise as well. The Sunbeam can opener in turquoise.

No, there is no better color than turquoise. I'm a turquoise freak.

that looks so good for turquise

I don't know but when I think of turquise it is more of a deep green with a metalic sheen and its ugly. But I actually like what you've done here. It appears as more of a sky blue which is just keen with me. I too like the fish as well as the phone and the dispenser. Nice job with the photo album too.

that blender brings back memories

that was the blender I "grew up with" complete with the solid state star. We had that blender so long that the rubber seal on the bottom cracked.

Is your kitchen solid brick that has been painted? Ir is that Z-brick? The subtle brick pattern adds interest.

Cool kitchen redo!

Looking good girl! Turquoise just makes you smile, doesn't it! Keep us posted on the redo! Love your "fishies"!
