Very interesting!
Thanks for the date!
The date is key - as there seems to be a conflict now. Pete has the standard RR9TA panel, made in July of 81. I'll now assume that your serial will fit between my Feb 81 and Pete's July 81, somewhere in the numbering range. Untill Cory and I can confirm w/ a night at the Amana repair shop, I'll assume that at sometime, someone swapped out the control panel. This isn't a bad thing at all - I think Barbara is quite attractive!
I normally would think that is a fishy theory - but last winter, Crystal and I had a small gathering, and one of the guests mentioned that her parents had a Radarange a lot like mine. She said that at one time, there were two dials, then they broke (??). Instead of buy a new microwave, they had the repair shop put in a new panel that was described to look like Barbara, with the numbers in two rows, described before I met Barbara ------ but these are just theories.
