That is a wonderful AEG dishwasher. The picture you shared is indeed a true AEG, there is no link with General Electric. But AEG's first dishwashers were relabeled General Electric toploaders (Mobile Maid).

Well, I'll be darned! I had no idea that there was an AEG version of the Mobile Maid! I guess it really is true that you learn something new every day...

AEG

I always liked the look of those AEG dishwashers, for those unfamiliar with them the handle pulls up to release the lock to let the door come down. My Aunt Nancy had one of these - about 1971 or so. At the time she was a real AEG fan having AEG autowasher, dishwasher and vacuum cleaner - I had never seen an AEG before, at the time they were quite rare and excelusive, especially in Northern Ireland
