Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Agreed JeffG

Not to mention the fact there are forums full of disatsified users of FL and HE TL machines. You know SQ is looking at this and you know they are content to keep offering old school machines that work and that people will pay the price asked.

The tooling has long since been paid for. The production process is sound and efficient. For SQ to introduce some new fangled electronic feces laden junk would be a dumb business move. In fact, Alliance Laundry is hiring approx 200 workers due to expansion. The CEO was quoted, in part, saying "...customers are waiting too long to get our products........." That should tell us the demand for their machines is perhaps greater than we think. And all this with little advertising and no sales to your local BIG BOX store. Or Sears.

Praise the Lord for old school TL machines that work. Period.

I think Alliance knows....

actually if they really knew they would return a "warm" rinse option and take out the restrictor in the hot water valve. I believe they were energy star for a short period before the latest energy star requirements came out. At least they alude to that in the user documentation. I'm just saying... :-)

Their problem is and always has been advertising imo. Just a few weeks ago we ran into (yet) another local appliance dealer who thought SQ only sold commercial TL units.
