First On TV

I got myself a new television for my living room this weekend (so its my "main" TV) and, as it is considerably bigger than my old one, I was thinking before it arrived "what shall I watch on it first?" to take advantage of the (so called) latest technology.

After reviewing my, reasonably extensive, video collection the choice was:

1. Bewitched - Mother Meets Whatshisname
2. Frasier - The Matchmaker
3. Frasier - Where There Is Smoke There's Fired

During dinner I watched another favourite that I have mentioned here previously "A Letter To Three Wives".

So my question to the forum is:
What would be (or were) the first things you would watch (or did watch) if you had a new TV?

hook up the surround sound , and then some music videos while making adjustments for the perfect sound quality.....then on to some movies with sound drama, like Star Trek, or Aliens

I did the same as you - watched some vintage TV...I wanted to see the 1080p upconverting. It's amazing how crisp those old shows are when remastered properly--can see detail as fine as thread in suits in some cases. Amazing.
