in South Dakota

Well ofcorse the praire isnt getting any but we up here in the mountains (or Hills) of Dakota got between 5 and 8 inches.

Since we useaully have our first major blizzard between oct 15th and holloween it was a welcome sight. Makes me wish I had a fireplace and a significant other to snuggle up to

I like your nieghborhood Greg m, Do people theres actually come out on those porches like back in the day?

Yay I spoke too soon, we got our first little dusting of snow of the season after sunset last night as well. Just a little tiny bit is perfect for Thanksgiving.

No snow in Amsterdam...

But when I alighted from a metro train this afternoon I thought for a moment otherwise. The platform had been generously sprinkled with salt to prevent ice. It is not freezing though, but here in the Netherlands we like to be prepared :D

No snow here

Thank God. I love the snow but I hate the ice! Saturday marks 1 year since the big 18 inch blizzard that swept through mid MO. 3 or 4 inches of that was ice, and I have rear wheel drive, so getting out of the parking lot was thrilling (NOT). I dinged 2 cars from the back end swerving whichever way and left notes but never got calls, so phew!

I don't know why but....

...when it snows, I just feel so alive and refreshed! We had flurries last week but it was a little too warm to stick. This week it's been warmer and mostly in the high 40's and 50's. Hopefully, it'll get colder and snow soon. HAVE to have it for the Holidays! Mark

Snow. Bleah!

Although I love many things about Wisconsin, snow definitely isn't one of them. Oh well, I took some pictures anyway.

They're predicting 1-3 inches, so I had to go out and move my car onto the driveway. Since I was all bundled up, I took a little walk down the highway.

Here's a long shot showing my house and some of my yard.

Another angle. You can see a white, fuzzy dog on the deck wondering what I'm doing out in the driveway instead of scritching him. The other dog has enough sense to stay inside.
