Interesting documents, thanks for sharing

I scan almost every weekends since five years for feeding my websites with catalogues and technical documents about French machines, so here's some tips for better scans :
Don't let the computer or the super smart & easy scan software choose parameters, that always make bad results.
Use at least 300dpi resolution or even 600dpi for more demanding documents (such as schematics with very small writings).
On stapled documents the best way to scan them is to pry off the staples and scan pages 4 by 4 (putting back the staples is always funny !).
Add a black sheet to don't scan the back of thin pages (then if needed adjust light, contrast, gamma... with your favorite image treatment software).
On thick documents the door can't close, light will enters and make gray shades on the edges, covering the scanner with a opaque black cloth usually does the job.
