I just bought a Fisher and Paykel Aquasmart washing machine. It is really cool but it is driving me crazy because I can't see what is going on inside. The machine will not operate unless the lid is closed and locked. Anyone out there know how to defeat the lock without actually breaking the washing machine? For all I know little kangaroos come out and jump on the clothes getting them so clean!

Thanks

Do you like the Machine so Far?You might have to take the top off to defeat that?I was looking at that one and I liked it but I got the G.e. Harmony with the window it was installed saturday and it is already broke leaking water and slowly filling the tub up very slowly even when its unpluged. The top on that is Plastic if I do recall right if it was mine I would probly take a dremel tool or a soldering Iron to it and take the catch out of the lid part on the other hand I can't rember where the latch was on the machine and what type it is.I am thinking on taking back this Harmony washer and getting a F&P.

Heee
looked at some reviews about the aquasmart? Are you pleased with it. Read some stories about and they not seems to be very happy? Are you? Keep it that way! It's always nice to be lucky and live happy ever after!!! :-)

DADoES, can you forward that to me, as well?

Since all F&P washers essentially have the same "body" I would assume this applies pretty evenly across all their top load washer line.

Lid Lock Fisher & Paykel AquaSmart

Hi,

I, too, would like to know how to trick the Fisher & Paykel Aquasmart Washing Machine lid lock to engage without me having to close the lid itself.

If someone here could please forward me those instructions, I would appreciate it.

You can also direct email to midas89 (at) yahoo (dot) com

Thank you!

Never Mind

Never mind. Please disregard the posting above. After searching more at this site, I found user "dadoes" posting of how one can cut out part of a credit card. Very nice indeed, and I thank you, Dadoes.
