Flour---often rats, mice, insects get caught in the flour grinding-crushing machines---think about it!And this is allowed.But-as a kid used to eat raw cookie dough all of the time-still alive and I haven't grown an extra arm or two heads!Oh yes-those above critters get caught in the grain harvesting machines,too-so that contributes to the "mix"!The FDA allows much of this-not considered "harmful"??Knew someone that used to drive a grain harvestor--one time a deer jumpted in front of his machine-since these are big, heavy, can't stop or turn on a dime-he hit the deer.Deers feet were cut off by the mower section, body crushed in the reel and auger,Reel was wrecked.Don't think the deer got into the flour, though. He didn't make it into the grainhouse on the machine. If it did-he would get ground in its hammermill-grain would have been bad!!!The hammermill section grinds the plant so the grain can be separated-the shredded palnt remains goes out of the back of the harvestor-grain goes thru the discharge spout into a built in bin or truck-tractor carrying a wagon alongside.
