Foaming Dishwasher Detergent

I noticed that the Electrosol tablets with the little pearl rinse aid in the center really foam up a storm when I use them in My 1997 Kenmore UltraWash dishwasher. To the point it sometimes overflows out the front. YES. I am careful not to put soapy dishes in the machine. I notice it affects the wash performance because the machine sounds labored when this condition exists.

So I switched to Walmart Greater Value brand powder, and I no longer see this problem. Wondering if anyone else sees anything like this.

I've used Electrosol for years without problems, seems like this new tablet (can't seem to find the original tablets without the pearl rinse aid) has ruined the formula.

I have those same ones and they don't cause foaming issues but they are leaving my stuff with a funky white residue. I don't think I will be buying anymore of them.

BTW, I use a 2004 GE dishwasher, MOL.

Yes, these ones

DO cause great foaming in my GE Nautilus.

I have had to reset for extra rinse to deal with the sudsing. They clean well, but the foaming is a bother.

I am going back to Cascade Complete Powder.

I have never had a problem with this product. I bought a huge tub of them at Costco. I also have soft water. My moom uses them as well and she has hard water - no issues there either.
