What did I tell you...
The four doors are starting to HAVE THEIR DAY.
Consider my 1957 Imperial the "before" shot of that silver 1959! I have the same body style, a very similar car...one of these days I will get to it.
I love seeing the rare items out there. It appears in the "aerial" shot that there is an Avanti, some sort of super cool station wagon with an aqua top, and Edsel, and a Citroen!

What the hell?????
This 1957, (I think), Lincoln custom built MONSTROSITY won some award. When will people learn to just leave things the way the factory designed them?
This WAS NOT a Ford/Lincoln original design. The owner even got in trouble legally with an article in one of the national car magazines by saying it was, " a one off production." It was NOT!
I'm not sure if it is supposed to be a Hearse or an Ambulance. A mistake all the way around according to most attending even though it did win an award.
Does it pick you up dead or kind of alive? It took 3 Lincoln's to make it. What a waste of money and even more, time!

Much to the amazement of many, there were many Citroens! Espically for a LCCI car show.
I think we counted about 6!! And yes, I am happy to report, the 4 door sedans are making a wonderful comeback. Either hardtop or pillared sedan.

Lincoln Wagon
IF that is the car I'm thinking of...it's a 1956. It's owned by a couple out of Chicago area and made an appearance at the North/South meet in San Luis Obispo California. I think it was summer of 1998 when I went to the show out there. I still lived in Phoenix and met up with the group in Palm Springs. We then caravaned through LA and up the coast. Of course my 1996 Olds 88 LSS at the time, died getting into town, a broken spark plug wire!

Wonderful pictures Charlie! It sure was a fun event, in spite of the heat and humidity. New Hope is always one of our most fun events and was the first Lambda event I ever attended back in 1988 in my '57 Lincoln. Was great to see you and Todd and Jerry again, cant remember any weekend where I laughed so much!
Spent the Woodward Dream Cruise in the company of the Detroit LCC group. Nice party...39 Rolls-Royce, 60 Desoto, 70 Olds 442, 70 Chrysler Newport convertible, 73 Citroen SM (Maserati engine), etc. One guy mentioned selling his 1954 Philco refrigerator to a guy from Germany (!) for way more than he thought he could get. Host was a Bell System retiree who has lotsa old phone stuff around.
