That was the stove (white though) in our house when we moved in almost 12 years ago. The entire top was so stained, it was downright disgusting. We replaced it with a TOL Magic Chef gas stove instead.

My partner's Parent had this style of stove, and it was end of it's life. I've never seen that style stove till I met his parents. (Gas was common thing back home) OMG, it took forever to heat up! The gave it up 3 years ago, adn went gas. She didn't know what to do since gas cooked faster!

Touch-n-Cook

My first smooth top was a Frigidaire Touch-n-Cook range. I bought Corning Ware pans with a metal coating on the bottom to use with it. The pans were fine, but tying to stir in a square pan usually sent half the contents out the corner of the pan.

The corning range made by Frigidaire was the first smooth top range.
