Not a suds saver, but still a great A806. I don't see the button or the marking on the dial.

I have this same machine in same color.

This was taken before it was cleaned up.

Exactly like grandmas 806 Then the dumb bitch left the 806 set when she moved in 2003 because she wanted a white colored set. I warned her, but she had to learn the hard way (MUCH complaining about destroyed clothes not coming clean in the new Kenmore DD immediately followed). Everything was original on both those machines, all the way down to the belts. GRRRR!!!

If they were anything but a vintage Maytag set (or a low end Maytag set) "silly woman" would suffice. But mint 806's that probably hit the crusher within weeks, if not days, after the house sold......the term "Bitch" becomes an absolute necessary

Can anyone tell me

If there is supposed to be a cover over the tub light? The light was burnt out, however, when I reached my hand up there, I could feel the light bulb.
What type bulb do these machines take?
Obviously, the back panel lights up just fine.
Also has the chrome strip on the front. I was told that there was a matching dryer, but it died years ago. Next to it sits a brown panel BOL...just a push to start switch.
Can't wait to get this new Maytag.

Yes there should be a plastic "lens"....

... in the opening in the tub ring. I can take a photo of the one in my "new" (well, new to me) A700 if you like.

Gary,

Take the front cover off and look around inside. It more than likely rattled itself off and fell to the bottom of the cabinet. That's where I found mine.
