Ekkkk she's topless.

Mother always said keep it all clean including the tubes and holes, or they will smell bad.

I actually pulled off the cover, cleaned underneath it, and washed the little nylon balls too.

Maiden load at this address.

oh is THAT what you meant....

So Gary said, "I thought it would be bigger". *FEH*!!!

Apparently the illumination stops short of the ends.

Hint: Inches, not centimeters.

Another look.

24 expected, 17 delivered.
Luckily it's the thick kind and not the thin version.

Regardless, it does it's job well.

Mounting brackets take up the extra space.

So as we took the rest of her top off to scrub the nooks and crannies, we noticed the missing "lens cap" for the tub light.

The incadescent lamp (light-bulb) for the tub had burnt out.

Got a new 110v 25w bayonette style bulb; $1.89 investment. NADA

Never dawned on me that the tub light is normally illuminated when the lid is open, and the machine is powered when the lid is closed.

This a job for a single-pole double-throw toggle switch!

Can't tell if the lid switch was already defeated (doesn't appear to be or brokem in the "machine opearting" posotion.

I'm not complaining.

Replaced the wimpy 25w bayonette lamp-holer with a candelabra-base 1/8" (nigh-light size) lamp holder and put in a hefty 40w bulb/lamp!

Keyless means swtich-less. I had to read the Spanish portion

Didja notice that the filament is sagging and paritally shorting itself out? Oh yes honey. Plugged in the machine and *POP* the bulb went. Some of the resistance was lacking. The base of the lamp partially melted and the lamp socket was ruined as well.

Luckily there were two sockets/lamp-holders per pack!

I went over the wiring diagram three times, out of fear and intimadation. Turns out all was well-wired. The lamp itself was screwy and was the problem.

Just as well. Much prefer the wires through rather than outside the *GULP* (electrical, threaded) nipple-ring.

Sin Interruptor => Spanish *No switch*. English => mother at

Lampholder.

Didn't use the paper cover. Duct tape over electical tape!

"Keyless" means "No switch". Had to read it in Spansih to understand that!

Cold water hitting hot lamp means *CRACK*

Improvised lens cover epoxied to tub-ring.

Styrene (brittle plastic) covering normaly sold in 2 foot x 4 foot sheets to cover fluorescent offce-type recessed lighting in a drop-ceiling.

You must be at least this tall (popints) to ride this ride.

All this due to some dicing and splicing!

Took the wire from the lid-switch to the tub-light and re-directed it to the black lead from the fluorescent light to the timer.

Do you see the red, black and white wires joined at the wire-nut and going into the timer via a slide-off terminal connection?

...and it worked like a charm!

THANKS FOR TAKING THIS RIDE!

NICE!!

So, exactly who's machine is this now?

BTW, you're missing the strip of rubber for the off balance mechanism in the following pic. A used one can be found on virtually ANY 2 belt Maytag washer
