NOS Pump

I just picked this pump up from eBay. It's new old stock and the part number is original to my 96 machine. I wonder if its the older style.

I bet that you will have to look into the pump to find out which impeller it has.

The factory pump on my 1994 Kitchenaid has the 15 vane impeller and the replacement FSP pump has a 25 vane impeller.

The part numbers on the original 94 pump are confusing #3352292, 3363394 and 3363392.

I think I got the 25 vane impeller pump, but that's ok. It's probably better built than the pumps made today.

I remember on my friend's 95 Kenmore that the pump (which was probably original) sounded higher pitched like the new ones. I think as soon as Whirlpool put the cross ribs on the front of the pump, they changed the impeller in it as well.

Yeah the one I got is the newer style one with the high pitch during drain. I was able to find the older style one.

Try finding one with a diamond/rhombus on the front!

I wonder then if the black ones made by Gemline in those days had the same sounding 15 vane impeller....
