We have really enjoyed our new kitchen and using the new space and appliances over the holidays.
The prep area / bar dishwasher is a Fisher Paykel single drawer unit with a custom front panel. We really like it a great deal and it is a nice pair to go with the Miele. (Definitely not as great as the Miele but we still like it a lot.)
My question / issue is the "knock to pause" function. After getting the custom panel, I connected the sensor according to the installation instructions. Knock to pause will not work. I have reseated the connector but it still won't work.
Before calling service, I wanted to see if any people here had experience with the "knock to pause" function. I think my issue may be related to the screws I used. Also, supposedly, there is a calibration function for the sensor. I am thinking that may be contributing to the issue as well. Any advice is appreciated.
I was wondering about the problem with opening the door without pausing. My DH has done that (not thinking about it) as we can do that on the Miele as well as our old Bosch. Is there a latch that could get damaged? There is more resistance when you open the door but it is not like it is locked. The water has stopped by the time we slide the drawer out.
Thanks for your help.
