I've learned that 1972 Grants Bradford and 1968 Co-op washers have 16 lbs. washtubs with the Ten Vane 'angel wing' agitator and the super-fast brake transmission. Have any of you guys seen the 16-pound capacity Franklin washers?

The fastest I've read was "71.5", and 70 OPM's with a 640 RPM for the high speed spins. I'm not sure if they began to reduce the wash and speed spins for their later 70's washers. Unfortunately, their machines were too cheaply made to compete with GE washers. Side note, surprisingly, the Ten Vane 'angel wing' agitator was rated as one of the best cleaners in Consumer Reports, late 60's. I believe before the indexing tranny. It washed as well as GE's straight 8 vane
Heavy Duty 18 Activator agitator.
