Oh come on Robert, tell us!!! I just can't believe the luck you have at the sales in Minneapolis. I went to 14 sales Friday. 10 garage and 2 estate and didn't buy one thing. Wasn't even tempted!! Well now with a new mixer you will be all ready for the holiday baking. Thanks for sharing the fun with us.

Hmm...

"It was so so soooooo bad we don't dare say ***giggle***"

Let me guess...

"No - for that one you need three German shepherds and a peasant's wife."

I have it from a good source......

Just how naughty they were!!!!

I will tell the whole story right now!!!!

The younger folks may want to cover their eyes!!!

A neighbor came over and asked if Robert and Fred had any laundry detergent....."No, we're sorry - all out". That was what they said. Later, they went over to that neighbors house and rang the doorbell and ran away! So naughty!!

Great stuff there guys!!! Amazing!!!

Rick

I'll never forget my first reaction to the scrubber cap... "If it's above the water line, what the heck could it do to help washing?"

Considering where they live

They probably left the water running while they brushed their teeth...
This is Minnesota we're talking about, not Chicago, New Jersey or Louisiana.

Or, maybe, they didn't empty the Kirby bag immediately after hoovering.

I mean, come on - this is the state where you get in trouble just for tap dancing in the bathroom at the airport...

Well, whatever it was, they were richly and deeply rewarded for it - there's an old saying in German: Keine Sünde bleibt ungestraft - and, obviously, their sins pleased the gods greatly!

Great catch boiz!

Naughty you say?

Does it involve leather or lace?
Saliva or perfume?
Candles or hot branding irons?

Yes, do tell us how you mainfest all these wonderful things you do not deserve. Because from what I can see your hearts are filled with perver---- er-- mischief.

*LOL*

Wow!
Great finds!
You guys are having so much fun! I love it.
Keep pushing the limits. Seems to be working for you!
Love the NIB finds! Awesome!

Two Vacuums

Are common in the USA. One for each floor of a two story home. Saves dragging the heavy thing from one for to the other when doing the upstairs rooms (bedrooms, halls, etc).

Or, just could be the second was a gift or came along but the first still worked so was kept as a "back up" unit.

Louis,

I know how you must suffer (and not in a good way) having all those Mieles lying around in your cellar.

Being a good German neighbour, I'll just march, um, drive on over and relieve you of all but one.

It's a spirit of loving cooperation, no?

Tee-Hee!

Do you suppose there are any of us here who actually have ever, once, in their lives, not found a good "reason" why they just "had" to "rescue" some poor machine (of which they have 20, already) and bring it home?

Nah, me neither.

When I moved a few years back, one of my dearest friend's wife (not a dear friend) (to put it mildly, but hey, his choice) made a scene that I really must have problems if I thought I needed two KM-3s, four Silit pressure cookers...

And who needs a Kobold and a Miele vacuum in a small apartment?

She, of course, is one of those who only buys name brands...and her taste in art is whatever society magazines says is the art du jour....

Well Keven,

Whatever I have is not lying around in a cellar because I don't have one. LOL

Ofcourse I have more than one vacuum, but since my maid is doing all the vacuuming and she uses only one I was just wondering why one needs more than one. Besides my Miele Silverstar (S240) I also have a Vorwerk upright vacuum and a FAM floor polisher.

I do love rescueing stuff too, especially small kitchen appliances. No more space for washers but there is always need for soemthing with a plug. LOL
