I originally posted this in late-April, but without a photo. Now including a photo and the info that Combo52 can change out a conventional thermostat for the "complicated" original one that's in there. Here's the info - First, 1966 Frigidaire electric range RCIE-39K. Color is turquoise. Beautiful. Condition is very good. Top still cooks great. Oven probably needs a new thermostat, because the element works, but the bacon comes out extra-crispy. Turquoise also on the sides in very good condition. Second beauty is the matching dishwasher. Also 1966 Frigidaire, dishwasher DW-CIUK. Also turquoise. Condition - good. Maybe used a bit back in the day, but not too much. The cycle stops very shortly after being turned on, so probably an issue with a valve, but not sure. I have the turquoise bottom cover that's not shown. Both located in Lincoln, RI. Someone please rescue these, because the oven's in my living room, and that can't last.

OK, I finally woke up....

I haven't been paying attention, clearly....LOL  Imma gonna try to get that dishwasher!  Maybe maybe maybe THIS rapid-advance timer dishwasher won't be a source of heartache and tears... LOL

TOL 1965 FD DW

Hi Paul, I would be very surprised if this DW did not have lots of problems if you try to actually use it regularity.

We have the exact same DW in the museum and it looks like a problem, this was the first year of production and the pump is all pot-metal.

They have been saved....

It's been a loooonng time since I did an appliance rescue run into New England, but I did one yesterday!

I was originally intending to just get the dishwasher, but the stove sat there whimpering on the driveway, so I felt compelled to bring it home with me.

Both the appliances are in remarkable condition - they had been installed in an in-law suite apartment apparently and likely didn't get much use at all.   Which is curious that the oven thermostat is wonky - unless this one was a 'lemon' out of the factory.

At any rate, as I am a sucker for punishment, I'll be investigating and diagnosing both appliances soon I hope.   I'll post pictures somehow (I can't seem to post them from my phone anymore but I do still have a working digital camera).  I'm likely going to start by investigating/testing the dishwasher.   If I can get it running, it maybe, just maybe, will be joining the Frigidaire-themed kitchen appliances at the house in St-Liboire.  The 63 Whirlpool "telephone dial" dishwasher might cry, though.... LOL

Frigidaire Refrigerator

Love it, Had it two years and no issues, except it is supposed to be Frost Free, the freezer evaporator has not defrosted itself in at least two years.

I lot of FF refs where they have been run for years without the automatic defrost working sustain serious or fatal damage to the evaporator and surrounding area.

John, I messaged the seller about that being a FrostProof, and all frosted up. He assured me there were "no issues"....
