I have this 9-year old dishwasher (Bosch 68xx, white, was TOL in 1999) that I've been pretty happy with -- it cleaned very well, was very quiet and gave me no problems. The only minor complaint I had was that someone leaned against the control panel a few years ago and broke the Rinse&Hold switch (it may or may not be simple to fix, it's a micro switch), but I rarely if ever used Rinse&Hold anyway. Anyway, until very recently it used to take about 70-90 minutes per cycle, depending on the cycle and how dirty the load was. In the last couple of months, however it has started to take over 2 hours and, sometimes even 3 hours... at first I tried to find out what the problem was, say, was the hot water not hot enough?, etc, but it seems to operate just fine sometimes and takes too long some other times. It could be the heater, or the control board, or the pumps etc. All I know is that the computer knows something is wrong and is compensating accordingly (the dishes still get clean).

In any case, I know it still works well (despite taking too long sometimes) and I'm sure it will need to be fixed at some point, and given that I have eczema and can't deal with a situation where I have no working dishwasher, I decided to replace it.

Someone who always wanted to play with a Bosch dishwasher and/or enjoys the challenge of finding replacement parts for it and fixing it or maybe want to use it as a parts donor to their own dishwasher(s) would be great to find. I was wondering if you knew who might want to have it, I would feel dumb trashing it if it would be useful to someone else here. (Also you need to pick it up, as I can't at the moment bring it to you).

Thank you all!
