I have a Maytag A606 washer, turquoise color that I am offering free for parts. Or perhaps someone here can get it working again.
I created a thread on this forum in November 2016 seeking advice. The washer suddenly stopped agitating and with the assistance of the knowledgeable folks here it was determined that the transmission ran out of oil.
You can read through the entire thread here:

My husband freed the agitator but determined the bearing froze up. Until this happened the washer ran faithfully for over 30 years.
Consequently we bought a Speed Queen TL with the mechanical dial that I am very happy with. Hubby would look into repairing the Maytag but he really doesn't have the time. I am sorry to see it go but I need the space.
If anyone is interested please contact me for more info. It can be picked up here over Labor Day week or it will go to the town recycle center. I am sorry to see it go but I need the space.
