I just scrapped a newer one. Transmission gears were noisy.

Not that it matters to anyone, but I have scrapped out more than one of these washers and more than several of this type of washer. I consider them to be real junk, they rate right up there with Amana made speed queen machines. Too bad about what happened to Maytag, they once had the best built and lasting machines ever made.
