Fridge faves!

So what are everyone's favorite refrigerators? I've always admired Kelvinators (horizontal handles) and Amanas (L-shaped handles). Without a doubt, the best refrigerator I ever had was a '70s Kelvinator in my first "grown-up" apartment. It was BOL and battered, but solid as a rock.

Incidentally, the worst fridge was a late-'90s Whirlpool in a later apartment. Suffice it to say it was NOT solid as a rock.

For vintage models, I like the bottom freezer GE's from the late 50's to late 60's best. I also like Hotpoints from the same time, as well as Amana and Whirlpool/Coldspot. For today, I like the Amana and Whirlpools with bottom freezer. I also always liked the GE side x sides with the dispenser on the door (like the Brady's).

I've always liked 60's Frigidaire's. Simple modern styling and they last and last.
We had a late 90's Whirlpool that was a lemon from the moment it was delivered.
We now have a GE SxS. Two years and not a problem at all.
