Fridgemore Final Spin Issues

New to the forum, I was given this site from a parts whse person. I am having issues with the final spin cycle on my FL. It is a Kenmore 417.43142200, model year 2003. A few months ago I replaced the rear tub/brg assembly (for the second time in its life). When doing so I noticed that the basket did not spin as freely in the new tub as before changing the tub. The basket comes to a abrupt stop and not a slow rolling stop when spinning by hand. There not alot of resistence when spinning by hand. Since that time, the final spin cycle intermittenly will tumble the clothes, ramps up in speed, then back to a tumble and never spins to full speed as if the load was unbalanced. The unit operates correctly without any clothes in it.

My first question is: Could the resistance caused the unit not to spin or could there be another issue?
If you think its a bearing issue, is there a place to get just the bearings and seal, since I have a spare tub?

Could the motor be the issue?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I had the 2002 Frigidaire version of your washer and the bearings finally started to make noise so I replaced it with one of the new 2010 Frigidaires---which I like a lot.

The problem is likely the stiffness in the bearings, the board can sense the extra load and think that there is a suds-lock or other problem and slow down. You should take the belt off and the tub should turn with almost no effort and coast for a while when you give it a good spin. Unfortunately it sounds like you may have to tear it down again, you can get the bearings and seals separately, however if you bought new parts they will replace the parts at no charge for 90 days.
