Fridgidaire compact laundry?

Did fridgidaire ever manufacture a compact or portable model of washing machine? I think I read in a previous thread about a "Fridgidaire skinny mini"?

In the mid-70's, Frigidaire did make the GMini, a 24" wide compact with the Synchro-Swing (agitub) mechanism, although I don't think it was touted as portable. That's on my dream list, although none of them have turned up as of yet. I wish they weren't so rare, as not everyone wants a 220V Skinny-Mini (with the slow dryer on top) to enjoy the Agitub's action!

Well, there is a raer POD with the Skini-Mini actually separeated into two small, compact units. The set is even in poppy red in the ad. But I don't think they were portable. Just marketed for small spaces.

27 inches wide, (675mm) large capacity, but still less floor space than separate machines.

Thanks all. I live in a old house with very narrow stairs to the basement, 19". So this really limits what I can collect and have fun with! I really haven't started to collect for this reason. Maybe I'll "specialize" in portable/compact models only.

I am amazed the mechanism can swing that whole tub, filled with water and clothes and agitate so fast.

FEH. If a go-go dancer/striper can do it, it should be much easier for an electric motor.
