I absolutely love my stove. Two weeks ago, the oven just stopped heating. I checked to make sure the oven "box" was pushed completely back, made sure that the oven heating element was securely attached in the back, checked the fuses, and even made sure that the range was completely plugged in. I did notice a wire that looked a little corroded so I snipped the end off and replaced the metal piece on the end and reattached it. I had heat, but nothing above 300 degrees F and it gradually dropped down to no heat. Any ideas? We live in a rural area of Washington and not a lot of appliance repair places to choose from. The two available to us had no idea what the issue is. I really love my stove, and I need to bake for Thanksgiving in a day and a half :/
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Is the broil element working?

Is the model number just RD-20? There should be either a number or a letter after it.

If I understand correctly what you meant by "oven box", yours has a Pull'n clean oven? So it should be from the 1960s.

From 1960 to 1964, the end of the model number was the model year (RD-20-60 for 1960 for example). After 1964, the model numbers include a letter (like "RD-20J" for 1965, RD-20K for 1966, RD-20L for 1967 and RD-20N for 1968)

Here's a 1963 RD-20-63:

Is the timer similar to this?

Or to these?
